Senior and executive search
Run a smaller search with a stronger point of view.
Senior finance roles are won through mandate fit, credibility, and trusted conversations. Define the problem you solve before you expand the network.
The outcome
A focused market map, credible leadership narrative, and deliberate outreach plan.
Define the mandate
Replace a broad title target with the business problem, decision rights, resources, and outcomes you want to own. This makes it easier for recruiters and sponsors to recognize relevant opportunities.
- Function, product, client, and geography
- Team size and decision authority
- Growth, turnaround, build, or succession mandate
- Economics, ownership, and risk tolerance
Build the evidence narrative
Senior résumés and conversations should show the quality of your decisions. Choose a small set of examples that connect context, tradeoffs, action, people leadership, and durable outcomes.
Map the market deliberately
Identify target firms, adjacent platforms, specialist search partners, former colleagues, clients, and credible connectors. Approach each conversation with a reason it makes sense now rather than broadcasting a generic search.
Diligence the seat
Ask why the role exists, which resources are committed, how authority works, what could block success, and how the board or senior team measures the first year. A bigger title with an unclear mandate can be a smaller job.
